Buy iPod TouchFirst Time Buyers iPod Touch: It’s Amazing!

I just bought the 32 GB 3rd Generation and iPod Touch is really an amazing device! I upgraded from a shuffle and was waiting until the 3rd generation of touch was released. I am a working mother with two children under 5 years and have no time for music (except for the radio in the car) or the reading or being organized. I need a personal assistant! Enter the iPod Touch! It is a mini computer that is helping me stay connected to the network via wifi for free with an incredible variety of productivity applications and lifestyle to make my life better.

Within 3 minutes of opening the package, which was connected to iTunes, the device recognizes my wireless connection at home and I was surfing the web at lightning speed (much faster than my laptop). The fact that there is no significant learning curve. Many of the applications seem to work better on this I- touch than they do on a computer screen regularly. A couple of clicks and screens and everything is ready and on your way!

This is another life-changing piece of technology as a DVR. The best $ 300 I invested in a device.

First time Ipod touch owner

After Amazon lowered the price of $ 20, decided to go ahead and do it.

This thing is incredible. I still can not believe all the things you can do with it. I’ve never had a device with a touch screen before, so maybe I’m easily impressed. One of the big selling points for me because it was the App Store. Do not need a smart phone (and did not want to pay more than the basic monthly fees for telephone service) so that ruled out the iPhone. When you hear on the commercial “we have an application for that” does not seem so far from the truth. Really makes the touch very versatile too. There are several applications you can use at work and at home.

Of course it has all my music and podcasts as well. I downloaded a series of free games for my kids to play, and the fact that this thing has wifi for browsing the Internet is a big advantage too. Above all, as I can find directions on Google Maps, and save my (at least for the last search), even when I am offline. Where to find my son away football games much easier.

In short, very happy with the Touch.

Former iPod Classic User

I have been keeping up to date with all the comments posted here since it launched the 3rd generation. I read all, and many have done a wonderful job describing the specifications, technology, etc. They have put in words better than I can, so I will focus my opinion on my experience in place.

I am a college student 20 years old, and I’m not a big spender. This is my first investment in a device that is realtively expensive but I’m very happy with my decision. I had a 60GB iPod classic for nearly four years. Both my parents have a 120GB classic, so I’ve seen the classic has been improved since my account. Although newer models have the classic ability to maintain an insane amount of songs – I thought it was a crazy amount (15,000 four years ago) – that I really wanted to get an iPod touch because of the new technology offered. However, I did not want to sacrifice storage space when, even with an older iPod classic, which could have far more songs than a 2nd generation 32GB touch. Therefore, I was absolutely ecstatic when I heard they were going to launch a new 64GB touch and feel free to buy it. It has almost the same amount of songs that my 60gb classic, but despite the lack of progress in the amount of storage space, I love the addition of Wi-Fi, applications, and other cool aspects not offered in the classic or nano.

I’ve noticed that most negative comments are due to the iPod touch not having a camera.  Although this is true, I personally do not think the update of the same type of iPod so quickly is a smart move (unless there is something wrong with the older iPod). That is, the 2nd generation is still very new – Why do you want to get a new one with the same capacity after only one year? Yes, it would have been nice if you install a camera or a radio or GPS, but I hope the 2nd generation users are aware that this was not the case before buying the new generation touch.

As for me, my iPod has been through a lot, and I’m glad it’s held up for me. I will continue to use my classic, but I’ve been spoiled since my new itouch has arrived. I’m not a camera person, so a lack thereof, does not bother me. Also, since I didn’t owned a 1st or 2nd generation, the 3rd is completely new to me and, frankly, I’m enjoying it quite a bit.

So what it boils down to this – if you already have a touch generation 2, do not upgrade if it is still a perfectly functioning iPod unless you want the new 64GB of storage space. If you are a user nano or classic like me and are considering the purchase of his first touch, I recommend it. It was delivered on time and in perfect condition and have not had any problems. However, if you’re like me, be careful – buying this may cause a delay in other projects or home work. :)
